Whitetail Deer

Having a strict management program to ensure growth, Buchanan Shoals has some of the best whitetail hunting in the Southeast. Our trophy management program is aimed towards harvesting only mature, trophy deer.  The management program focuses on three things:  intensive habitat management, supplemental feeding program, and an adequate buck/doe ratio.  All harvested bucks must be at least 3.5 years of age, have eight measurable points and be 16 inches or more in width inside the antlers.
