The slow moving, shallow rock shoals located at the southern and northern ends of the property are excellent spots to wade and fly fish. The deeper sections of the river average 10-15 feet in depth, and are easily accessible by a small boat. There are four boat landings on the property, three in Anson County and one in Richmond County. If fishing in the river is not to your desire, there are also 6 ponds available.
Whether you are looking to fly fish for Robin and Sunfish, work top-water plugs for hard fighting Stripers, or looking to land a 40-pound catfish, Buchanan Shoals has all the freshwater fishing that you are looking for. Fishing guides are available at a member’s request.
